ARTTIC

Profile

Founded in 1987, ARTTIC is a leading European group dedicated to consultancy and management services in international R&D; partnerships. The group comprises several companies based in France, Belgium, Germany and Israel.

Services include helping clients to elaborate their strategy for private-public R&D; partnerships, establishing project feasibility, managing proposal development, finding partners to establish international consortia, helping to settle contracts, taking care of project management, and helping to successfully disseminate and exploit project results. ARTTICÂ’s staff (about 50 persons) is fully dedicated to these activities and has a unique expertise in the various operational management tasks.

Over the last 20 years, ARTTIC has successfully supported over 120 international project consortia in various R&D; domains: information and telecommunication technologies, transports, education, health, bio-technologies, automotive industry, aeronautics, industrial technologies, new materials and microelectronics.

In the FP6 Information Society Technologies (IST) programme, ARTTIC is involved in two Integrated Projects on Smartcards (INSPIRED) and on embedded computing (MORPHEUS) and in four STREPS on multimedia access rights management (TIRAMISU), safety related to transport (Com2React), cognitive based learning systems (ELU) and on the modelling and simulation of the MAP kinase pathway to understand its role in the development to cancers (SIMAP).

Contribution to TURBINE

ARTTIC (France) is in charge of the day-to-day project management and administrative tasks to ensure the collaboration is working efficiently, the project is properly monitored and decisions and actions are prepared and taken according to the project progress. An important aspect of the role of ARTTIC is also to simplify as much as possible the work of the R&D; staff and to develop a collaborative team spirit inside the consortium.

ARTTIC is also leading training and dissemination activities.
